Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Swindon to assist with the appointment of a Quality Assurance Reviewing Officer on a 3month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 38.91 52.95 per Hour

Summary:

As a Quality Assurance Reviewing Officer youll play a key role in ensuring independent oversight of care planning child protection and fostering functions with the aim of keeping children safe and championing their rights. In this impactful role you will drive service quality through robust independent reviewing monitoring safeguarding practice and supporting Swindons ongoing transformation through the Family Safeguarding Model.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide independent oversight and review of children in care child protection and fostering cases.
  • Champion the voice rights and needs of children and young people in all decisionmaking.
  • Chair and facilitate statutory reviews and planning meetings in accordance with the Children Act 1989 and Working Together 2023.
  • Offer support and challenge to operational teams to ensure highquality outcomefocused practice.
  • Provide clear written analysis and feedback to contribute to service improvement and audits.

Qualifications:

  • Professional qualification in Social Work (DipSW CQSW or equivalent).
  • Social Work England registration.
  • Relevant postqualifying training or CPD in childrens services.

Experience Required:

  • Substantial postqualifying experience in childrens social care ideally in reviewing safeguarding or care planning.
  • Experience working within multiagency frameworks and partnership models.
  • Skilled in chairing statutory meetings and recording analytical reports.

Please note:

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
