Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Reigate and Banstead to assist with the appointment of a HGV Mechanic on a 2month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 14.32 18.68 per hour
Responsibilities:
- To carry out repair and maintenance services to the councils fleet of vehicles plant and associated equipment including our Grounds Maintenance equipment.
- To ensure that all maintenance and repair work is carried out to a high standard and that vehicles comply with DVSA standards and in accordance with the terms of the Councils Operators Licence at all times.
- To carry out necessary diagnostic work and specialist repairs where possible.
- To attend roadside breakdowns and recover vehicles if repairs are not possible.
- To ensure that maximum vehicle availability is always maintained.
- To ensure that all relevant administration work is completed in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- City & Guilds Vehicle Mechanic Qualification or equivalent qualification and experience in discipline
Essentials:
- HGV Driving Licence (Cat C)
- Basic standard in English & Maths
Please note:
- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
- You should have right to work in U.K
