You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailMaintenance worker is responsible for the operation and management of all aspects of maintenance inside and outside the building. To provide a safe work environment and to work safely.
Maintenance within the building.
Maintain all equipment of the home.
Painting and general repairs.
Cleaning shop mechanical and electrical rooms.
Must work safely follow the Ontario Health and Safety Act and use all protective safety devices including wearing steel toe safety shoes/boots.
Performing other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Maintaining Home grounds.
Painting outside of Home and cleaning outside windows where accessible.
Collecting garbage within the Home
Must be a registered fulltime student during the preceding academic year and be returning to school on a fulltime basis in the next academic year.
Must be able to read and write follow oral and written instructions and be open minded to learn practical skills through experience.
Must be reliable conscientious and neat and show courtesy and tact with residents and all staff.
Must be adaptable and willing to perform a variety of tasks as assigned.
Must have a certain amount of speed and accuracy in work.
Must be alert to unsafe conditions and correct or report same.
Must have ability to maintain high standards of operation.
Must be able to work independently.
Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening that is less than six 6 months old at time of hire.
Anticipated length: May August 2025
Hours per week may fluctuate. Some evenings and weekends are required
