Job Description

Risk Adjustment/Quality Programs Educator

Full Time (MondayFriday 8AM5PM)

HybridRemote/Collier County

Millennium Physician Group is seeking to hire a fulltime / Risk Adjustment/Quality Programs Educator to join our team. We are looking for a new team member who is positive energetic wellorganized has the ability to multitask and think outside of the box. We want someone who supports our top initiative of ensuring an excellent patient experience!

The Quality Programs Educator and Support Services provides Risk Adjustment and Quality specific education to providers and all support staff through a variety of mediums including direct interactive learning sessions individually or in group settings written guides and protocols audits etc. S/he will have responsibility for building relationships with the clinical and clerical teams to ensure open communication for questions concerning the Quality program(s) and its components. S/he will facilitate & provide detailed analysis reporting training education and support to Providers and staff to promote accurate clinical documentation along with HCC/Quality opportunities identified via performed analysis. S/he provides support to the Risk Adjustment and Quality teams as needed.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal State and/or County laws and regulations related to coding and documentation guidelines for Risk Adjustment and Quality.
  • Coordinates and facilitates risk adjustment education and training using a wide variety of methods and media to deliver content including printed materials and technical reports power point presentations teleconference and videoconference platforms.
  • Deliver content professionally and customize to specific audiences.
  • Demonstrate technical knowledge through the use of industrybased applications.
  • Coordinate with the Risk Adjustment Coders and Manager of Risk Adjustment Auditing and Coding to followup with providers on opportunities identified in their reviews.
  • Promote efforts to improve provider compliance with CMS requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance the total provider experience.
  • Provides clear concise and professional communication to varying audiences depending on the project and its goals.
  • Demonstrates excellent time management attends and participates in required meetings which may require travel and deadlines including hours outside of standard business hours and/or above a 40 hour week.
  • Supports the risk adjustment team in a positive manner with emphasis on providing excellent service to all patients providers internal and external customers.

Required Knowledge Experience and Education

  • Associates degree or equivalent from twoyear college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certified Risk Adjustment Coder or similar.
