Your Role as an Assistant Teacher or Floater
Were currently looking for Assistant Teachers and Floaters who will play a vital role in creating a safe welcoming and stimulating environment where children can thrive. As an Assistant Teacher or Floater youll be assisting Lead Teachers and helping maintain the classrooms overall effectiveness. Heres what youll be doing:
- Assist in developing and implementing engaging ageappropriate activities that promote literacy social skills and physical development.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment where children feel safe and excited to learn.
- Support classroom behavior and encourage positive social interactions among students.
- Communicate regularly with parents to keep them informed about their childs development and classroom activities.
- Foster a love of learning through creative play handson activities and structured lessons.
- Float across classrooms to support staffing needs where necessary ensuring consistent supervision and assistance.
What Were Looking For
We are looking for candidates who are dedicated passionate and eager to make an impact in the lives of young children. The ideal candidate will have:
- A High School Diploma (CDA Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development is preferred)
- 12 years of experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- A commitment to following state regulations and maintaining a safe healthy and supportive environment for children
- The ability to lift up to 50 lbs and engage physically with children
- A passion for teaching and a strong understanding of child development
- Flexibility to float between classrooms and meet varying staffing needs throughout the day
