Graduate of accredited vocational nursing program required.
LVN Licensed Vocational Nursing License upon hire required.
BCLS prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.

Position Responsibilities
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
Collaborates with team to facilitate hourly rounding and initiates action to meet patient and families need for information.
Takes action to reduce/eliminate patient risks
Collects data and reports significant findings to RN.
Safely administers medication in accordance with medication administration guidelines.
Individualizes care measures to reflect specific patient population. Performs technical procedures safely proficiently.
Demonstrates critical thinking.
Adheres to national safety goals in care delivery.
Monitors patients.

Neuro Tele Department 30 bed) provides care to a wide variety of Neuro Tele patients with diagnosis such as Stroke Seizures Parkinson MS Medical overflow and Telemetry. This unit has had many DFW Great 100 Nurses and is known for their teamwork.
