Delivery Drivers
Otto is looking for dedicated delivery drivers to join our team!
Job Summary
Join an Exciting Opportunity as a Delivery Driver! Were seeking motivated drivers to make deliveries across New York Citys 5 boroughs. Be part of a dynamic team bringing innovative solutions to lastmile delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate 16 Box Truck to make ontime deliveries
- Operate forklifts pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Occasionally assist in loading and unloading trucks ensuring accuracy and adherence to shipping/receiving documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas including trucks ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with production team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks and meet Delivery schedules.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines to always ensure a safe work environment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements or efficiencies.
Qualifications
- REQUIRED:Current Active drivers license; clean with no active or pending driving offenses.
- REQUIRED:an active DOT Medical Card issued from the state of New York (DOT requirement)
- REQUIRED:High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred but not required experience driving Box truck on NYC streets.
- Preferred but not required Commercial Drivers License CDL
- A current copy of your abstract driving record is a plus!
- Proven experience with GPS and Delivery Software
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and ability to adhere to strict safety standards.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and operate machinery in a controlled precise manner.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as needed to support Delivery demands.
- Ability to work 6 days a week when needed and 10hour days
