Job Description
Upper School Classroom English Teacher
Employment Status: FullTime Exempt
Reports to: Upper School Principal 912
Start Date: August 2025
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. 3:30 p.m.; following the school calendar. Additional time as needed for afterschool meetings conferences and professional development.
Job Summary: Able to teach various levels of English and applications with the ability to integrate faith and learning into the curriculum.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical social and emotional development of adolescent students.
- Conduct ongoing formal and informal assessments of student achievement.
- Maintaining accurate complete and current records of student progress achievement and behavior.
- Establish and maintain open communication with parents and students through a variety of means including facetoface conversations email phone calls and conferences.
- Work collaboratively with faculty and staff.
- Weekend and evening hours as necessary to support events.
Qualifications:
- Licensed teacher with 912 certification for the state of Ohio
- Must be a committed Christian who is comfortable in a multidenominational Christian community
