Fitters Mate

An opportunity exists for a Fitters Mate within ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions UK & Ireland Door Group reporting to the Senior Contracts Manager. This role is field based in London.

The primary objective of this position is:

Installation of light metal and timber door sets and metal screen windows on commercial building sites.

Key responsibilities and duties are:

• Working as part of a team working with experienced engineers installing ASSA ABLOY door products on site
• Checking door sizes against drawing
• Checking van tools and stock
• Completing job sheets
• Signing off installed products

• Support the engineering team with lifting and carrying heavy products
• Work in accordance with Company and statutory Health & Safety requirements

.and any other duties required to assist in supporting the achievement of Company objectives

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience on building sites
• Hold a CSCS card
• Have a flexible approach to working hours and business needs
• Have good organisational skills with attention to detail
• Be able to work as part of a team
• Be enthusiastic hardworking reliable and willing to learn
• Have good communication skills
• Be customer focused
