Job Description

Get hands-on experience supporting essential DNO (Distribution Network Operator) infrastructure projects
Learn from experienced Cable Jointers and work towards gaining High Voltage (HV) authorisation

What Youll Be Doing:

  • Assisting with the installation maintenance and repair of underground power cables on DNO networks

  • Supporting on-site safety by helping carry out risk assessments and following health and safety procedures

  • Preparing tools materials and cable joints for the Cable Jointer

  • Ensuring all work meets Scottish Power and DNO technical standards

  • Using hand and power tools correctly and maintaining a tidy safe work area

  • Helping to complete job records and site reports accurately


Qualifications :

 

  • Current DNO authorisation (Scottish Power network)

  • SPEN Authorisation

  • Valid First Aid qualification

  • Manual Handling training

  • CSCS SHER Power card

  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • Street Works qualification
