Job Description

If working and growing with a good team is what you are looking for then look no further than the Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) Talent Acquisition team.

The ADOC Personnel Division is currently seeking applicants for a Talent Acquisition Specialist. This position will have graphic design responsibilities digital content development goals communications and public relations work and marketing projects to go along with statewide recruiting and talent acquisition responsibilities.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is a fulltime merit position within the Personnel Department of the Alabama Department of Corrections. This position plays a critical role in assisting with the development and of recruiting strategies to deliver suitable job candidates for positions. Their focus will be on developing marketing content that has a positive effect on the recruiting of Security and NonSecurity positions at the Correctional Facilities across the state. Qualified applicants should be positive selfmotivated efficient with technology and possess the ability to multitask and achieve hiring goals established by dynamic data. Having a skillset in digital content creation graphic design and website management is critical. This position will report directly to the Talent Acquisition Manager.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited fouryear college in Marketing Public Relations Human Resources Public Administration or a similar field.
  • Two years professional experience in specific areas *
  • Graphic design skills
  • Digital content development skills
  • Website management skills
  • Attending hiring events job fairs and workshops
  • Visiting career centers
  • Working closely with other state agencies
  • Forging relationships with High School and College student placement services
  • Daily communication with the Talent Acquisition Manager
  • Routine instate travel
