PART III ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT RESPONSIBILITIES : 3.1 Attendance maintains good attendance in coordination with UP&S policy. 3.2 Punctuality reports to work on time and is ready for duty. 3.3 Uses time sheet to record time correctly for each pay period. PART IV WORK ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES : 4.1 The candidate will be responsible for maintaining in vitro and ex vivo cell culture systems for the research team in accordance with laboratory and safety protocols 4.2 Should be willing to work with in vivo experimental models of inflammatory bowel disease and obesity in terms of animal maintenance treatments and generation of experimental data 4.3 Should maintain a laboratory notebook and electronically maintain an accurate record of all raw and analyzed data generated from experiments and should communicate the results with DCTS research faculty 4.4 Perform analyses and statistical comparisons of results to contribute to manuscripts and research presentations and effectively communicate results in both formal and informal meetings 4.5 Should be willing to perform nonroutine tasks as needed to ensure high team productivity 4.6 Should have the knowledge and experience of basic laboratory equipment and techniques along with their proper maintenance/calibration 4.7 Display appropriate work ethics in the workplace and group setting which provides a positive influence on coworkers 4.8 Comply with all safety environmental and health regulations and procedures of Marshall University 4.9 Performs other duties as assigned or requested. PART V DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC He/She will conduct laboratory experiments and provide laboratory assistance to support research activities under the direction of research faculty in the Department of Clinical and Translational Sciences DCTS at Marshall University. The candidate is expected to work as a cohesive part of the DCTS research team to maximize research productivity and efficiency.
