The Division of Juvenile Justice is recruiting for an Information System Coordinator in Juneau. If you are interested in part of a dynamic and innovative team please continue reading!

What You Will Be Doing

Coordinates the design updating enhancing testing and training of DJJ staff on all DJJ applications.

Works closely with the Data Processing Manager user community software vendor JOMIS advisory Group and DJJ management as the subject matter expert for JOMIS and IncidentTracker applications.

Coordinates and manages the JOMIS Advisory Group membership sets meeting agendas records minutes of the meetings manages enhancements and tracks the budget.

Coordinates communication via email telephone in person computer meetings and written guidance to the DJJ application user community for issues related to system administration data quality and accuracy standardization and adherence to division policies and procedures.

Provides application information administrative assistance to the Data Processing Manager and Data Team.

Manages the creation and updating of all user accounts and access privileges for DJJ applications and coordinates access for our justice partners in addition to DJJ personnel.

Coordinates DJJ staff application userids and access issues with OCS and other partner agencies.

Responsible for information gathering and filing PFD applications for DJJ juveniles in the OCS ORCA application.

The Working Environment You Can Expect

As a member of DJJs State Office section you will be part of a team of 28 staff members from all over the state who are dedicated to improving services and implementing evidencebased programs that will benefit Alaskas youth. Please note the Division of Juvenile Justice is not a remote or teleworking agency. Your workplace will be on the 7th floor of the Court Plaza on Main Street in downtown Juneau. You will enjoy stunning views of Juneau from your desk! You will have a traditional work schedule of Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM in a professional and respectful workplace. Some travel throughout the state is required and may include working in and visiting secure facilities.

Who We Are Looking For

The ability to work with others in a computer application support capacity with demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple time sensitive tasks simultaneously.

Innovative thinker who is open to new ideas and convey information in a clear and understandable way with an interest or experience in juvenile justice.

A willingness and ability to provide training in writing in person via email and Teams/Zoom.

Experience and knowledge of DJJ process applications such as JOMIS Incident Tracker and ORCA.

Skills and experience and a working knowledge of: Excel Word SharePoint Outlook Teams and Zoom.

Qualifications

Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge skills and abilities in

Equivalent to those typically gained by:

Training from an accredited college with a major in business management public administration operations management information systems computer information and office systems computer science informatics or similar and/or professional experience related to the occupational area of the program associated with the position.

Typically gained by means the prevalent usual method of gaining the competencies expected for entry into the job.

Training and education are synonyms for the process of acquiring knowledge and skills through instruction.
