  • Suffolk County Council Endeavour House Ipswich IP1 2BX Hybrid
  • 70086 per annum (pro rata for part time)
  • 37 hours per week Flexible working options available

Are you a motivational and experienced Social Care leader ready to make a significant impact Join us as a Head of Operations and Partnerships at Suffolk County Council and lead our countywide Mental Health Learning Disabilities and Autism Adult and Community Services Social Care teams.

You will be joining at an exciting time for our service. Over the past four years we have delivered around 6m in savings as part of a Corporate Transformation Programme and implemented a new Mental Health operating model. Building on opportunities arising from the newly forming Integrated Care System (ICS) we work with partners to serve the best interests of our community focusing on quality and positive customer outcomes.

Your role will be to:

  • provide innovative leadership to social care teams
  • deliver the Suffolk Social Care strategy for independence outlined in Supporting Lives and Connecting Communities
  • provide leadership in delivering against the services corporate transformation programme including a Supported Housing redesign and Transforming Care
  • drive highquality social work practice using the Signs of Safety model including leadership of Suffolks AMHP service
  • develop integrated working with Health and other colleagues
  • be responsible for teams of around 150 social care staff with a budget of over 100m
  • be a key part of the MHLDA Social Care management team
  • deliver value for money.

You will need

A commitment to delivering the best services for people in Suffolk and demonstrable evidence of high performance and partnership working at a senior level within a local authority or other organisation with comparable scope size and complexity. You will have a working knowledge and experience of Mental Health Social Work and must be a registered Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP).
