Are you a passionate skilled Vet Nurse who loves what you do Were looking for a Fulltime or Parttime Head Vet Nurse to join our talented and dynamic team at Burpengary Vet Hospital!
We pride ourselves on the high level of customer service and veterinary care. We are a practice of 11 Vets 13 Nurses and 2 Full Time receptionist. Our opening hours are Monday Friday 8am 6pm and Saturdays 8am1pm.

What Were Looking For:
Holds certificate IV in Vet Nursing or equivalent qualification.
2 years Vet Nurse experience or experience within a Head Vet Nurse role.
Strong experience in nursing and handling a variety of cases.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay calm under pressure.
Strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail.
The ability to thrive in a fastpaced highenergy environment.
A positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
A genuine passion for animal care and a commitment to providing the best service to our clients and their pets.
Available to work on a rotating Saturday roster.
About The Role
Assisting our veterinarians with routine exams and procedures
Providing surgical and hospital nursing care including anaesthetic monitoring
Delivering pre and postoperative patient care as well as offering grief support to clients
Administering medications and preparing treatments as required
Managing the admission and discharge process for surgical and hospital patients
Communicating treatment plans and updates to clients
Performing blood collection testing and IV catheter placement
Assisting with diagnostic imaging (xrays and ultrasounds)
Supporting dental care including scale and polish and performing dental xrays
Contributing to daytoday nursing tasks to support our vets and team in providing the highest standard of patient care
Mentoring and training of Vet Nurses within the team
