Job Description
Job Summary
Supports the department in assigned projects and duties including serving as a direct liaison between patients family members the healthcare team and other support services providers. Accomplishes the duties assigned by the supervisorpreceptor as evidenced through performance appraisal form.
Essential Functions
- Performs duties as assigned by leadership that will enhance the interns college study.
- Works as a member of the departmental team to develop and implement customer support services to assist patients families and guests.
- Provides administrative coverage.
- Types documents creates spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations.
- Assists with research projects data analysis and/or creating various reports.
- Assists with TJC education preparation as required.
Physical Requirements
Requires walking sitting lifting and reaching overhead. Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds at shoulder height. Must be able to push patients in wheelchairs or supplies on a rolling cart. Intact sense of sight and hearing is required. Responsible for working in a safe manner.
Education Experience and Certifications
High School Diploma or GED required. Currently enrolled or at least oneyear experience in a college/university as an undergraduate or graduate student in Healthcare Hospitality Social Sciences Business Administration or Healthcare Administration required; concentration in Healthcare preferred. Planning prioritizing oral and written communication interpersonal problem solving team and computer skills required.
