The Childrens Assessment Center (The CAC) provides a safe haven to sexually abused children and their families a place where they can receive the kind of care and treatment they so richly deserve.
We employ an extraordinarily effective multidisciplinary team approach in the prevention assessment investigation referral for prosecution and treatment of child sexual abuse. Our goal is to promote the complete healing of child victims of sexual abuse and their families.
Childrens Services Technician Position Overview:
The Childrens Services Technician works with the Supervisor and Staff to plan and execute childcare activities for children 0 17 years old who are attending core services at The Childrens Assessment Center.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assists with daytoday operations of the Activity Center in the Childrens Services program. Coordinates activities and special events monitors and interacts with children and ensures the safety and wellbeing of children.
Completes reports and interacts with parents Childrens Assessment Center and Child Welfare Staff.
Performs routine caregiving tasks and helps ensure care is provided in accordance with standards.
Plans and provides childcare activities for children 0 17 years old.
Assists with daily operations of the Activity Center.
Monitors and interacts with children to ensure child safety and wellbeing.
Helps to contribute to the childfriendly environment of The CAC by maintaining a safe space for children to explore and play as they await services including providing meals clothing entertainment and activities and helping to ensure each childs emotional social and physical needs are met while at the CAC.
Assists Supervisor in planning volunteer training and education; oversees volunteers and assists with scheduling and followup to ensure coverage in the Activity Center.
Assumes responsibility for data entry for Activity Center visitors; maintains and updates daily monthly and yearly reports.
Assists in planning preparing and implementing all Childrens Services special events including largescale holiday events.
Assists in the transport of supplies and donations.
Attends child development child maltreatment and other relevant training to enhance skills
Other duties as assigned.

Education:
Associate degree from an accredited college or university
Experience:
One 1 year of direct experience working with children
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Excellent childfriendly communication skills.
Ability to remain calm and perform in a highstress environment.
Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Bilingual in English and Spanish Verbal

Education:
Bachelors Degree in Social Work or related area such as Child Development or Psychology
Position Type Salary and Typical Hours of Work:
FullTime Regular
Monday Friday Hours will be discussed during the Interview process.
40 hours per week
Commensurate with experience
