JOB DESIGNATION: The Quality Inspector I performs routine visual inspections of components parts and/or products for the area assigned according to detailed job instructions and procedures. Identifies routine quality issues and resolves problems to meet quality requirements.
JOB CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs routine visual inspection of soldered connections mechanical inspections of electronic and electromechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
Works as part of the QA team applies basic level inspector process knowledge practices and procedures to standard routine tasks.
Participates in preparing all necessary documentation for reporting acceptance/rejection of inspected and/or tested items.
Supports and participates in internal audits and corrective action follow ups as required.
Implements and maintains technical quality assurance procedures.
Inspecting wires sensors such as force sensors pressure sensors etc. using ring gauges calipers torque ranges micrometers and other tools
Regular consistent and punctual attendance is required.
May need to work nights and weekends variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
Other responsibilities as assigned.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Must Haves (Required): Computer skills Blueprint reading experience Hand tools experience (calipers OD Mic Pin gages and Comparator).
Years of Experience (Required): minimum 1 year inspection experience
Nice to Haves: Electronic inspector (PCBs) SAP knowledge AS9100/AS9102 Knowledge
Preferred Certifications/Credentials: IPC
Development Opportunities: ability to progress up 2 levels within inspection
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations is preferred.
Certifications: Vocational training apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field
Years Experience: 02 years of relevant experience
Skills:
Ability to follow detailed job instructions.
Able to apply a systematic Quality Assurance approach while using existing procedures to solve standard problems.
Skilled at measuring and using test equipment as prescribed by job assignment.
Capable of identifying and independently resolving routine issues.
Experience with blueprints drawings and parts lists.
Familiar with the casting forging molding stainlesssteel and electronic components use in Aerospace industry.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards as well as Aero Space Standards like AS9100 use on aviation space and defense organizations.
Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Power Point)
Effective oral and written communication.
Nice to Have:
Experience with all type of inspection tools like: Gauges calipers height gages pin and block gages Vblocks surface inspection tables micrometers and comparators
Experience creating First Article Inspection Reports in compliance with AS9102 and customerspecific requirement
