Position Summary
The postdoctoral research associate will use genetic and molecular biological approaches to investigate the genetic organization of a cluster of genes in Bordetella bronchiseptica that includes those encoding a two component regulatory system a potassium uptake sustem and two proteins of unknown funation. The postdoc will also use genetic technieus to construct B. bronchiseptica strains in which the teo component regulatory system is eother inactive or constitutively active and will conduct RNAseq experiments to investigate the scope of genes regulated by the two component regulatory system. The postdoctoral research associate will also train and supervise graduate and undergraduate students in the lab.
