Job Description

NipissingParry Sound Catholic invites applications for the position of:
TEACHER LONG TERM OCCASIONAL (LTO)
ST. HUBERT
1.0 FTE
Grade 3/4
Effective immediately
until approximately May 16 2025 but not to extend beyond June 27 2025
Mandatory Requirements:
- Basic qualifications to teach in the Primary and Junior Divisions
Preferred Requirements:
- Knowledge of and familiarity with the school environment would be an asset
- Willingness to actively assume extracurricular duties
- Commitment to being an active participant in the schools professional learning team to promote student achievement
- Proven ability to implement effective classroom management strategies
- Commitment to supporting the use of technology in instruction and learning and to promoting an environment of innovation and creativity that engages the 21st century learner
- Knowledge and experience in implementing balanced literacy and the use of student data to drive instruction
- Understanding of the Ontario Catholic Curriculum and effective strategies to teach Literacy and Numeracy
- Demonstrated effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- Knowledge and experience in utilizing student learning management systems such as Google Classroom as well as additional GSuite digital tools and EDSBY to facilitate instruction and effective communication with parents
- Repertoire of current instructional and assessment strategies
- Sound knowledge of the programs and teaching experience in the listed divisions
- Knowledge of and familiarity with the school environment would be an asset
