Fluke Corporation in Everett seeks a Mechanical Engineer to work with a fastpaced and collaborative team to develop and improve professional test equipment. Our team is an industry leader developing innovative electro/mechanical products that serve a wide variety of market needs worldwide.
In this role you will lead the development of products from concept through launch and continue improving our portfolio. As a Mechanical Engineer you will interact with a wide variety of internal and external teams such as Project Management Industrial Design Manufacturing suppliers and external partners Electrical and firmware engineering Business units Product Compliance and Project Coordination.
Throughout mechanical designs design reviews prototype design solutions detailed drawing work and proper documentation you will be responsible for developing mechanical elements used in Fluke products. This includes components and overall system designs supporting Design for Manufacturability (DFM) industry standards and Fluke defined product robustness requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently work in a fastpaced and challenging environment focused on a broad portfolio of unique electromechanical products
- Effectively collaborate in a multidisciplinary team
- Serve as a technical leader for our Engineering organization
- Develop mechanical designs based on industrial design simulations customer requirements quality and manufacturability
- Solve Technical problems and develop solutions
- Train and support others on estimating work and managing project results
- Conduct and participate in design reviews to minimize design risk and rework
- Develop system test requirements and perform validation activities
- Contribute to product design methods and standard methodologies
- Lead product improvement activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 6 years of professional experience or M.S in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience
- Skilled in highpressure systems design fluid dynamics concepts pressure sensor theory and applications and pressure/temperature control algorithms
- Able to design for and select against multiple manufacturing methods including precision machining diecast and injection molding
- Proficient in CAD (Pro Engineer preferred) including 3D modeling creation of drawings with GD&T and data management
- Handson experience building and evaluating prototypes
- Selfstarter comfortable working with ambiguity
- Use of FEA and CFD tools to evaluate designs
- Strong technical leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
- Selfmotivated team member willing to support others and share knowledge
- Proven strong interpersonal technical communication and problemsolving skills required
- A high degree of selfdiscipline and integrity are required.
