    QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. California Pupil Personnel Services credential in school psychology
    2. Masters degree desired
    3. Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with staff students parents and public and to respect confidential matters
    4. Bilingual ability desired
    5. Ability to work flexible and irregular hours
    6. Possession of valid California drivers license and personal automobile for use on district business

    REPORTS TO:Administrator as assigned

    JOB GOAL:To support students learning social development and mental and behavioral health using problem solving assessment databased decisionmaking and delivery of evidencedbased interventions. To collaborate and consult with educators families and other professionals to help create safe healthy and supportive learning environments for all students.

    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Utilizes varied models and methods of assessment and data collection for identifying strengths and needs of individual students and broader school community developing effective services and programs and measuring progress and outcomes
    2. Consults and collaborates with colleagues students families and other stakeholders to promote effective implementation of services
    3. Uses assessment and data collection methods to implement and evaluate services that support cognitive and academic skills support socialization learning and mental and behavioral health including but not limited to behavioral supports individual and group counseling and social skills training in collaboration with others
    4. Develops and implements practices and strategies to create and maintain effective and supportive learning environments for children and others (e.g. positive behavior interventions and supports)
    5. Promotes services that enhance learning mental and behavioral health safety and physical wellbeing through protective and adaptive factors and to implement effective crisis preparation response and recovery
    6. Implements and evaluates services that respond to culture and context and facilitate family and school partnerships and interactions with community agencies for enhancement of academic and socialbehavioral outcomes for children
    7. Provides effective professional services that promote effective functioning for individuals families and schools with diverse characteristics cultures and backgrounds and across multiple contexts with recognition that an understanding and respect for diversity in development and learning are foundations for all aspects of service delivery
    8. Evaluates and applies research as foundation for service delivery and in collaboration with others use various techniques and technology resources for data collection measurement and analysis to support effective practices at individual group and/or systems levels
    9. Provides services consistent with ethical legal and professional standards; engage in responsive ethical and professional decisionmaking; collaborate with other professionals; and apply professional work characteristics needed for effective practice as school psychologists including respect for human diversity communication skills effective interpersonal skills responsibility adaptability initiative dependability and technology skills
    10. Functions as part of districts continuum of mental health services. Collaboratively provide a multitiered system of supports through implementation and monitoring of evidencebased mentalhealth behavioral and academic interventions for all students in need
    11. Models personal and professional values of equity integrity caring collaboration personal and collective responsibility
    12. Performs other related duties as assigned

    SALARY: $130437 $159039 annually 199 days) (max. salary includes all longevity and educational stipends)

    EVALUATION:Performance of this job will be evaluated inaccordance with the Districts Improvementof Professional Services handbook Board Policies and Procedures and consistent withcollective bargaining agreements when applicable

    MINIMUM APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Please check with Human Resources regarding acceptable documents. For positions requiring college course work official transcripts will be required upon employment.

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

    Some positions may require proof of privately owned automobile insurance and the possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle operators license. Fingerprint clearance by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice is a condition of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met. Must present verification of completion of Child Abuse Mandated Reporter training or obtain verification within six 6 weeks of hire and annually thereafter as required by the California Child Abuse Neglect Reporting Act.
