The goal of the Bureau of Infectious Diseases (BID) is to prevent and control the spread of infectious diseases (e.g. foodborne outbreaks general infectious diseases healthcareassociated infections influenza meningitis tuberculosis vaccinepreventable diseases waterborne outbreaks zoonotic diseases and vectorborne diseases).

Supplemental Information

All answers to the supplemental questions must be supported by the work experience/education provided on your civil service application. Unless required by legislation the selected candidate will begin at Pay Grade 14 Step 1 of the Exempt Pay Range Schedule $37.53 per hour) with an opportunity for pay increase after six months $39.67 of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.

The final candidate selected for this position will be required to undergo a criminal background check. What Youll Do:

The Zoonotic Disease Program Administrator with work within the Bureau of Infectious Diseases to administer coordinate & implement policies & procedures for Zoonotic Disease program initiatives according to state laws national compendia & national & state guidelines. Initiatives may include zoonotic disease control rabiescontrol Harmful Algal Blooms public health emergency preparedness. Additional duties may include:

5 yrs. trg. or 5 yrs. exp. in business administration management or public administration.

OR

Completion of undergraduate core program in business administration management or public administration; 36 mos. trg. or 36 mos. exp. in supervisory administrative &/or managerial position.

OR

Completion of undergraduate core program for academic field of study commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on File; 36 mos. trg. or 36 mos. exp. in supervisory administrative managerial &/or staff position involving planning research &/or policy/procedure development.

OR

1 yr. exp. as Program Administrator 2 63123.

OR

Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.

Educational Transcript Requirements:
Official educational transcripts are required for all posthigh school educational accomplishments coursework or degrees claimed on the application.
