Director of HVAC Service
Position Type: Fulltime salaried position. This position also includes bonus based on performance.
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled HVAC Service Senior Manager to lead and manage our HVAC service operations across multiple regions. In this role you will oversee three regional team leads each managing their respective teams of HVAC technicians 18 in total. You will be responsible for driving operational excellence through training and development of your technicians along with monitoring the operational and performance metrics of the team. Your leadership will ensure that high standards of service quality safety and customer satisfaction are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development:
- Foster a culture of continuous learning promoting skills development and certifications to enhance overall team expertise and technical capabilities.
- Directly manage and mentor three Regional Team Leads providing them with guidance support and development to ensure they are effectively leading their respective HVAC service teams.
- Develop and implement strategies for coaching and training that support the professional growth of the team leads and their technicians.
- Conduct regular performance reviews with each team lead providing feedback and setting actionable goals for personal and team development.
- Ensure consistency in training across all regions helping to establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for HVAC service delivery.
Metrics Review & Performance Management:
- Collaborate with Regional Team Leads to set clear performance targets and action plans to address underperformance or challenges.
- Analyze and report on operational trends using data to make strategic decisions that improve both shortterm and longterm performance.
- Drive accountability by ensuring that team leads and technicians meet or exceed performance goals fostering a resultsoriented and motivated work environment.
Strategic Oversight & Operational Excellence:
- Work closely with senior leadership to define and implement service strategies that drive efficiency improve service quality and enhance customer satisfaction across all regions.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of current processes and systems proposing and implementing process improvements that drive operational efficiency.
- Oversee the budget for the HVAC service department ensuring resource allocation is optimized across regions.
- Ensure strict compliance with all safety protocols regulatory standards and company policies performing regular audits as necessary.
Customer Satisfaction & Service Quality:
- Monitor and ensure that all HVAC service work meets the highest quality standards and client expectations.
- Resolve complex or escalated customer complaints or service issues that regional teams are unable to resolve ensuring positive outcomes and maintaining high customer satisfaction levels.
- Collaborate with the customer service department to ensure seamless coordination between the service teams and customers.
InField Coaching & Training:
- Handle the most escalated and challenging customer escalations.
- Provide handson training and development for your regional team leads.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience in the HVAC industry with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
- Proven experience managing service techs Providing coaching performance management and development.
- Demonstrated success in driving performance metrics and improving service delivery in a large multilocation environment.
- Service Titan knowledge is required.
- Strong understanding of HVAC industry standards codes and best practices.
- Familiarity with key performance metrics and tools used to track and improve operational success.
- Strong leadership mentoring and coaching abilities with experience managing a team of team leads or senior technicians.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse group of professionals.
- Experience in conducting training and performance evaluations with a commitment to team development.
- Ability to analyze and leverage data to inform decisionmaking and drive operational improvements.
- Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to develop and implement solutions for complex operational challenges.
- Ability to travel to regional locations as needed.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying environmental conditions.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 8 years of experience in HVAC systems (FHW FHA AC). 3 to 5 years of experience in field technician management.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Strong leadership communication and time management skills.

- Office Environment: This position is primarily based in an open office environment with typical office conditions; however may occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
- Warehouse Environment: This position is based in a warehouse which serves as a base for many of our operations and includes equipment and material storage areas.
- Hybrid position: This position is a flexible work model that combines remote and onsite work. When working remotely the employee is required to have a workspace free of distraction during work hours to perform job duties.

- Requires sitting at a desk for long periods of time performing tasks on a computer the ability to move within the office to attend meetings access equipment or interact with colleagues.
- While performing the duties of the job the employee is regularly required to stand bend crawl or kneel in confined spaces. The employee may be required to lift up to 60 pounds and must be able to climb ladders enter crawl spaces stand on roofs and move up and down stairs safely.
- This job may require travel in a personal or companyprovided vehicle.
