PURPOSE AND NATURE OF WORK
Incumbent works in call center providing technical support and resolving escalated technical trouble calls (Tier 2 support) from customers with cable TV telephone and internet service or for datarelated problems for LFT Fiber. Answers calls troubleshoots issues and documents simultaneously in a timely fashion. The position also handles escalation of problems to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner for severe conditions such as power failure or optical fiber cable cut. Position involves 10 to 12hour rotating shifts
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Vocation/technical training in electronics telecommunications computer or related supplemented by work experience providing technical support in the following areas: home electronics voice and video concepts high speed internet networking computers and home and business wiring. Experience with network monitoring tools such as Solarwinds a plus as well as progressively responsible experience working in a network operations center (NOC) or as technical support staff troubleshooting and supporting VoIP POTS Hosted PBX Video Internet and/or integrated data systems.
TYPE OF EXAMINATION Examination will be a multiplechoice test.
