Job Overview
Podar Education Network is seeking a dedicated and qualified Clinical Psychologist to join our team in Bangalore Urban. This is a fulltime midlevel position. As a Clinical Psychologist you will be responsible for providing psychological services to students staff and parents ensuring the mental wellbeing that aligns with Podars commitment to holistic education. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Dialectical Behavior Therapy and experience with mental health assessment tools.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (Mandatory skill) with the ability to apply therapeutic techniques effectively to a diverse student body.
- Experience in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (Mandatory skill) showcasing the ability to treat various emotional and behavioral disorders.
- Skilled in using Mental Health Assessment Tools (Mandatory skill) to diagnose and formulate beneficial treatment plans.
- Required familiarity with Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for processing traumatic experiences in clients.
- Experience with Teletherapy Platforms for remote assessment and therapy sessions ensuring continuity of care.
- Competence with Patient Record Keeping Software to maintain accurate and confidential client records.
- Adept in Crisis Intervention Techniques to manage emergency psychological situations professionally and calmly.
- Understanding of MindfulnessBased Stress Reduction to promote mental health wellbeing through relaxation and mindfulness practices.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological assessments interviews and observations to diagnose mental health conditions of students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students aiming for therapeutic improvement and stability.
- Use a variety of therapeutic techniques to address emotional and behavioral issues among students and staff.
- Collaborate with educators staff and parents to create supportive environments facilitating psychological growth.
- Deliver workshops and training sessions on mental health awareness and stress management techniques.
- Manage crisis situations and provide immediate psychological support as needed.
- Maintain detailed client records in a secure and confidential manner adhering to legal and ethical standards.
- Stay updated on the latest psychological research particularly in educational settings and apply findings to improve practices.
