Job Description

This position is for the full academic year. The pay for this position is $10.25/hr.


Expected hours of work per week: 1020


Work Location & Hours: Various campus locations/ Flexible hours between 7am 10 pm Monday Saturday


Qualifications for Position:

  • Experience in Facilities Services preferred.
  • Ability to lead others in completing housekeeping tasks.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Commitment to giving your best effort.
  • Must have good communication skills with workers and supervisors.
  • Ability to work 1020 hours a week

Expected Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead team in absence of Facilities Services Building Coordinator
  • Monitor and maintain buildings during snow days and floods
  • Report any problems in the area to Facilities Services Building Coordinator
  • Train and schedule Mark 10:45 workers
  • Be a model employee
  • Direct workers during 2nd shift
  • Coordinate extra workers for special projects and events
  • Assist with creation and implementation of task lists schedules etc.

Resume skills development (NACE Competencies required by employers) to be developed

Career and SelfDevelopment: Take charge of ones obligations and commitments to perform a task both within ones scheduled hours and provide assistance for critical needs with follow through. Adhere to learned procedures and training required to successfully execute the departmental mission.

Communication: Clear and competent communication with supervisors and coworkers. Adhere to the Communication Procedures.

Critical Thinking: Proactive and problemsolvers. Know when to go forth with an assignment and when to step back from a task and request assistance.

Global Literacy: Student Employee Team Leaders will be guides to coworkers from a wide range of cultures backgrounds and experiences. Demonstrate valuing colaborers to the freshmen and leverage each student employees capabilities appropriately.

Leadership: Ability to lead others in completing tasks. Collaborating with coordinators to teach general facilities knowledge. Reporting basic errors to the Coordinator to handle further training and showing patience and encouragement to their coworkers.

Professionalism: Be punctual and dependable. Demonstrate good stewardship of equipment and resources. Able to navigate school and work load

Teamwork: A Team Leader is to be available for the Student employees and works with the coordinator as a 2nd source of knowledge about the job during their work shift. The Team Leader contributes to the teams actions through knowledge of procedures demonstrating coordinator expectations and familiarity with the campus layout.

Technology: The Team Leader shall take instruction and show familiarity with the following devices.

  • Scots Tablet and Banner.
  • Procedures Chemical dilution system PPE and MSDS book locations and knowledge.
  • Correct Procedures to adhere to in the event of an emergency.
  • Vehicles and repairing of equipment.
