Job Description

We are 10SB (part of Egis Architecture Line) a dynamic and innovative architecture and master planning practice. With over 400 architects and designers strategically located across three regional headquarters in London Hong Kong and San Francisco as well as six additional studios in key global markets. We are currently searching for an Intermediate Designer to join our growing practice.


As an Arch Designer III (Project Designer/Architect) you will be leading design and supporting the Senior Designer/Manager/Principal in the design and development of project documents and working with team members for large scale residential & hospitality projects. Additional tasks will have you mentoring junior staff and engage you in further knowledge transfer of design principles processes building codes and methods of construction.


Potential candidates must have strong technical skills with an eye towards design strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to support projects working both individually and in teams.


What Will You Do

Independently generate the conceptual design and/or master plan for projects and contribute to the development of project design direction as directed by Senior Designers/Principals.

Develop and participate in design presentations & design charettes

Work collaboratively with the project team in planning work and developing solutions to technical and design detail challenges.

Lead coordination of project efforts administrative and technical to assure efficient of projects needs

Provide leadership to contributing designers on project(s) and monitor project design development with the assistance of Project Manager Senior Designer or Principal

Review design and technical drawing of junior designers

Obtain formal approvals from clients & stakeholder teams

Coordinate and prepare project correspondence with assistance of Project Manager(s)

Some travel may be required (US & Abroad)

Requirements

Required Skills:


Expert 3D Modeling skills (SketchUp Rhino and Revit)

Advanced proficiency in rendering software (Enscape and Lumion)

Advanced proficiency with CAD/BIM documentation software (AutoCAD and Revit)

Advanced knowledge of BIM or Parametric Design is an asset (Revit Dynamo and Grasshopper)

Proficiency in MS Office including Word Excel and Outlook

Expert in Adobe Create Suite (Photoshop Illustrator and InDesign)

Knowledge of space planning methodology and building systems for hospitality mixeduse and multifamily project types.

Ability to sketch and develop design ideas graphically (Diagramming by hand or digitally)

Ability to discuss and communicate ideas with verbal and graphic clarity

Ability to communicate and present to clients is expected

Ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines of multiple projects

Ability to work in a collaborative team environment

Fast learner who can adapt to a variety of project requirements


Required Experience:


A professional degree in Architecture (BArch/March)

8 Years of professional experience

Architectural license (preferred) or is currently pursuing Architectural Registration Exams (ARE)

LEED Accredited Professional a preferred

Previous work experience in residential mixeduse and hospitality projects is preferred.
