Job Description
Vertiv is seeking a dynamic and forwardthinking Director of Global Operational Strategy and Excellence in Westerville OH to drive innovation and optimization across our global manufacturing operations. This leader will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing transformative strategies that integrate cuttingedge technologies including AI and automation to achieve operational excellence in a global engineeringtoorder environment. This position is a critical driver of our 35year operations roadmap and strategic projects ensuring alignment with overarching business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a globally aligned operational roadmap that leverages AI automation and advanced technologies to optimize manufacturing and supply chain processes.
- Lead strategic planning and of global operations initiatives balancing longterm vision with shortterm priorities.
- Champion operational excellence by designing and implementing Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement strategies.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional and regional teams to ensure alignment of operations strategy with business goals.
- Conduct comprehensive market research and industry analysis to identify opportunities risks and best practices for operational enhancement.
- Develop and manage a portfolio of strategic projects ensuring robust planning milestone tracking resource allocation and financial oversight.
- Drive datadriven decisionmaking by leveraging advanced analytics platforms and operations systems such as ERP and AIdriven tools.
- Represent global operations at the executive level providing strategic insights trend analysis and actionable recommendations.
- Build and foster partnerships to integrate innovative solutions into operations ensuring sustainable growth and efficiency.
- Create and implement risk management strategies to proactively address challenges and align with strategic objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Operations Management Supply Chain or a related field. A masters degree is a strong advantage.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in global manufacturing operations with a proven track record of implementing AI and automation in operations.
- Expertise in global supply chain principles Lean manufacturing and operational performance optimization.
- Strong strategic vision and the ability to navigate complex multinational environments with agility.
- Proficiency in advanced data analytics and operational systems including ERP platforms.
- Demonstrated project management capabilities with relevant certifications such as PMP Six Sigma or Lean Management being a plus.
- Exceptional analytical problemsolving and communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
