Enterprise Data Governance & Platforms (EDGP) is part of the larger Enterprise Digital and Data Solutions (EDDS) organization. EDGP improves the customer experience and drives business growth through robust enterprisewide data policies and governance and enabling a datadriven culture while developing digital and data platforms that provide insightful customer relationships and allow users to leverage enterprisewide data capabilities.
Enterprise Data Sharing Solutions (EDSS) is part of the Enterprise Data Governance Digital & Data Platforms (EDGP) organization which sits within Enterprise Digital and Data Solutions (EDDS). EDSS improves Amex data privacy & data sharing through the implementation of modern data sharing capabilities and strategies that enable faster speed to market while enhancing safe sharing connections. To support the rollout of our evolving digital capabilities we are embarking on an exciting and transformational journey to define and govern our Web ecosystem at American Express.
How will you make an impact in this role
The Associate Product Management Data Privacy will focus on delivering the capabilities to enable and evidence AXPs compliance with the processing of personal data in accordance with global privacy regulations. Specifically this role will be responsible for managing the product backlog and prioritizing features based on business needs and customer feedback to enable delivery of the Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) Automation roadmap. You will be part of a team that shapes the longterm strategy for this space while also focusing on the efficient delivery of a nearterm roadmap through partnership with lines of business product and engineering teams and second line partners.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Partner with engineering and commercial stakeholders to identify business needs and execute on design build and updates to the DSAR Automation platform
- Document and manage DSAR Automation product backlog by writing clear product requirements user stories and acceptance criteria
- Collaborate effectively with all stakeholders and partners to ensure desired functionality risk mitigation and regulatory compliance by driving the timely delivery of DSAR Automation solution
- Summarize complex business requirements and technical concepts into digestible user stories and process flows for a wide variety of audiences
- Gather and analyse user feedback to refine and improve product functionality
Minimum Qualification:
- 2 years of experience in product management business analysis or a related role
- Highly organized and selfmotivated with the ability to work independently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with ability to summarize technical material in a clear logical and structured manner
- Ability to understand and communicate complex business requirements and translate them into technical requirements via feature and story writing
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and tools like Confluence JIRA and Rally
- Knowledge of privacy regulations like GDPR and CPRA preferred but not required
