Job Description

Seasonal Direct Support Professional

The Seasonal Direct Support Professional provides services to the people supported by Karis Disability Services in the absence of the regularly scheduled Direct Support Professional. The Seasonal Direct Support Professional assists with activities of daily living and promotes the implementation of person1centered plans. They work in cooperation with their work team and complete administrative duties as assigned. They seek to promote Karis Disability Services Service Principles by enhancing relationships promoting citizenship celebrating peoples gifts recognizing selfdetermination encouraging growth and development and recognizing the need for holistic supports in a manner that considers each persons intrinsic value.

The Seasonal Direct Support Professional will respect and uphold the Values Vision and Mission of Karis Disability Services demonstrating the highest standards of courtesy and respect in their dealings with other employees people who use our services and both internal and external stakeholders.

Seasonal Summer Jobs for Students//
Temporary Full Time Position (Approximately 3 4 months) in our Leamington Community//
Between 35 hours 40 hours per week//
Wage : Hourly $17.20 CAD //
Closing Date :May:59 PM//
Studying in a Developmental Service Worker Diploma (DSW) or Apprenticeship Child & Youth Care Diploma (CYC) or Apprenticeship Social Service Worker Community Service Worker Bachelor of Social Work Autism and Behavioral Sciences Nursing Psychology is an asset.//

Requirements:

  • Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
  • Access to reliable transportation

Preferred:

  • 36 Months Experience (volunteer or employment)
  • Developmental Services Worker Child and Youth Worker or postsecondary education in a related field
