Job Description
Starting Salary: $23.00 per hour
City Cruises is seeking a Cook for our operation in San Francisco.
About the Opportunity:
Work consists primarily of banquets with a wide range of menus from festive casual to California classic. Successful candidates will have attention to detail in a fastpaced environment. A flexible schedule is required.
About You:
This person will be adaptable dynamic and embody City Experiences RESPECT Service System.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Preparing and cooking food aboard yachts or in our prep kitchen for events up to 500 people
- Loading and unloading food and supplies onto boats as needed
- Assisting in breaking down and cleaning the galley at the end of each shift
- Working and collaborating with Vessel operations crew and front of house team to satisfy 100 of our guests
- Learning all safety and security duties required for the position
- Report any tools/equipment in need of repair or replacement
- Take pride in personal grooming and how you present yourself to others.
- Teamwork is highly valued and you must work well with others.
- Safety is an important part of our culture. Must adhere to all safety standards.
- Additional job duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- At least 6 months kitchen experience which includes prep work line cooking and knowledge of health and sanitation codes
- Valid Driver license a plus
- 18 years old
- Must be able to understand and communicate with English speaking crew
- Have or be able to acquire a valid California Serve Safe certification as well as a TWIC and MMC
- Experience with a Point of Service (POS) system.
- Days evenings weekends and holiday shifts are available. A Flexible schedule is required.
