Job Description

Location: Arlington TX

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily operations on the injection molding floor ensuring adherence to schedules and production targets.
  • Manage production processes including documentation and troubleshooting.
  • Lead and mentor personnel providing guidance to team members.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Engage in Continuous Improvement efforts including 5S 5 Whys and 8D documentation.
  • Train team members on process steps and requirements including paperwork training sheets skill matrix maintenance and other jobrelated training.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Foster a positive work environment by demonstrating teamwork and actively participating in team activities.
  • Problem Solving: Employ problemsolving skills to overcome challenges and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Adherence to Policies: Follow company policies including Work Plant Rules and Work Safety Rules while ensuring compliance with safety health and operational standards.
  • Safety Focus: Promote and ensure adherence to safety protocols including proper use of PPE and reporting unsafe conditions or accidents. Ensure a safe working environment for all team members including forklift operators and clerks.
  • CrossFunctional Duties: Perform daily crossfunctional tasks in your assigned department according to established procedures and work guidance.
  • Lean and Continuous Improvement: Support and participate in lean and continuous improvement programs and initiatives.
  • 5S Standards: Maintain cleanliness and organization of all work areas in alignment with 5S standards.
  • Communication Etiquette: Maintain professionalism when using radios PA systems and phones for business communication.
  • Other Duties as Assigned: Assist with additional duties as needed as directed by the Materials Manager or supervisor.

Education and Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or minimum 5 years experience in a related field required.
  • Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong problemsolving and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in PC knowledge.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision selfdirected detailoriented reliable and strong initiative.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Adherence to safe work procedures and use of personal protective equipment at all times.
  • Certification to operate a crane/hoist.
  • Must pass background check and drug screen.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Professionalism and respect in all interactions.
  • Ability to motivate team members and lead by example.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs. routinely and stand for long periods.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and explain problems to designated departments.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to stand or sit for 812 hours a day with occasional lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to perform overhead work and work below the waist as needed.
  • Must be able to move and operate materials with a forklift as well as assist with loading/unloading tasks.
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including eye protection and other taskspecific safety equipment.
