Family Partner (early Onset)

The Family Partner is a directcare role working facetoface with primary caregivers/families in the Early Onset Program a coordinated specialty care program for youth and young adults experiencing their first episode of psychosis. Drawing from personal experience parenting a child with mental health needs Family Partners provide support guidance and understanding to aid in recovery and ensure families needs are met. They offer nonjudgmental objective services emphasizing developmental stages parenting strategies selfcare and stress management. Using a familydriven strengthbased approach they work to eliminate stigma and improve family outcomes. The role involves providing services throughout Tarrant County often requiring travel in the Family Partners own vehicle to various community settings.
Minimum qualifications: High School Diploma/GED
Preferences: Experience parenting child with diagnosis of psychosis
Years Experience: One 1 year as primary caretaker parenting a child/family member with mental health needs experience in navigating the community systems and mental health services.
License/Certifications: Valid Texas Drivers License within one 1 year of hire date obtain Family Partner certification and maintain certification biannually by completing CEUs provided in Tarrant County when available.
Special Courses: Complete Family Partner Training within 6 months of hire date.
