As a Graduate Researcher Academic Associate (GRAA) in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering youll have the opportunity to contribute to highquality education while developing your teaching skills.

Youll engage in leadingedge educational pedagogies gain invaluable experience in curriculum development teaching and student support and work closely with subject coordinators to create and improve course materials. This role offers you the chance to make a meaningful impact on student learning while advancing your own academic career.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver Engaging Teaching: Conduct and deliver teaching activities including tutorials laboratory sessions workshops and field work in related discipline areas.
  • Develop Educational Resources: Create and improve teaching materials for both undergraduate and masters level courses.
  • Support Student Learning: Provide consultations monitor discussion boards and assessment feedback to enhance student experience.
  • Contribute to Subject Administration: Assist in managing assessments ensuring academic integrity and improving course accessibility.

You are a passionate and dedicated graduate researcher in Engineering eager to contribute to education while pursuing your own research with strong communication skills and a commitment to enhancing student learning experiences.

You must:

    • Be currently enrolled in a PhD or research doctorate in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at the University of Melbourne.
    • Have at least 1218 months remaining in your candidature.
    • Be making satisfactory progress in your course and have passed your confirmation. (or approval from Head of Department)
    • Possess strong discipline knowledge in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and related fields/cluster areasas outlined in the position description.
    • Have excellent communication organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage ones own time effectively administer multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
    • Be a passionate educator with the ability to contribute positively both individually and as part of a team to educating inspiring and supporting students learning.

The School of Electrical Mechanical and Infrastructure Engineering (EMI) undertakes teaching and research across a range of disciplines that are internationally recognised for their contribution to fundamental research. EMI has several wellestablished industry linkages and international partnership and is building a vibrant profile of interdisciplinary research working with industry with an aim to contribute to society.
