Key Responsibilities:
- Transportation of Goods: Safely load transport and deliver products to various locations following the designated routes and schedules.
- Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct daily vehicle inspections checking fuel oil water brakes lights and other safety equipment to ensure the truck/Trailer is in safe operating condition. Report any issues promptly.
- Load and Unload Freight: Assist in the loading and unloading of cargo to ensure it is safely secured especially when transporting heavy or oversized items.
- Equipment Operation: Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts pallet jacks and where required delivery vehicles.
- Compliance and Safety: Follow all DOT regulations and company policies maintaining compliance with federal state and local laws related to vehicle operations and safety.
- Documentation and Reporting: Complete all required paperwork including Bills of Lading trip reports inspection logs and delivery receipts. Maintain accurate records of hours miles driven and fuel expense.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and driving safety standards.
- Proficiency in using GPS electronic logging devices (ELDs) and other routing tools.
- Ability to load/unload freight and safely handle heavy or oversized items.
- Good communication skills and professional attitude.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in commercial driving is a plus.
Licensing:
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.

- Trucks will be provided by the company.
- Trucks are typically F350s or equivalent.

**Starting Salary: based on experience & can be discussed during the interview process.
**Must be able to commute daily to/from Longview/Hickory NC**
