Job Description
Position Title: Intern Manufacturing Engineer
Department: Engineering
Location: Santa Ana CA
FLSA Status: NonExempt FullTime/PartTime (Temporary)
Internship Type: Paid 23 Months)
Job Summary:
This role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with our engineering and production teams on meaningful projects that impact daily operations. From supporting the implementation of lean initiatives to analyzing production workflows and helping resolve realtime manufacturing challenges this internship is designed to provide handson experience that builds both technical knowledge and problemsolving skills in a hightech manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with process improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and reduce waste.
Support the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
Participate in time studies workflow analysis and data collection to support production improvements.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including Quality Production and etc.
Assist in troubleshooting production issues and identifying root causes.
Create and update documentation such as engineering change orders (ECOs) and technical reports.
Support implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement strategies.
Perform other engineeringrelated tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes lean principles and quality systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
Manual dexterity to handle small components and operate equipment.
