Job Description
Reve Preparatory Charter School (Reve Prep) is seeking a dedicated and detailoriented Facilities Manager who will oversee all aspects of facilities operations maintenance and safety to ensure a wellmaintained clean and inviting environment for scholars staff and visitors. The Facilities Manager will coordinate with contractors and vendors manage building systems and lead custodia security and maintenance teams in support of Reve Preps mission to provide highquality education for every scholar.
Key Responsibilities
- Facility Maintenance and Repair
- Oversee the upkeep repair and improvement of all school facilities including classrooms offices common areas restrooms and outdoor spaces.
- Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule for building systems (e.g. HVAC plumbing electrical security and fire safety).
- Collaborate with vendors service providers and external contractors to ensure timely completion of work monitoring service levels and costs.
- Custodial and Grounds Management
- Supervise custodial staff including hiring training scheduling and performance evaluations to ensure the school remains clean and safe.
- Ensure custodial taskssuch as cleaning waste management and disinfectionare carried out in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Oversee the upkeep of grounds landscaping and outdoor sports or recreational areas.
- Safety and Compliance
- Supervise the security officer to include safety drills walkthroughs patrols and maintaining a safe school campus.
- Ensure that the school meets all local state and federal health safety and building code requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of inspections compliance reports and safety procedures.
- Conduct regular building inspections identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures promptly.
- Project Management
- Manage facilitiesrelated projects from conception through completion including scope budget timeline and quality control.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external contractors to minimize disruption to the school day.
- Ensure that all projects align with Reve Preps organizational goals and budget constraints.
- Budget and Inventory Management
- Develop manage and maintain annual facilities budget in collaboration with the Director of Operations identifying costsaving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
- Monitor expenditures ensuring efficient use of resources and accurate forecasting.
- Maintain an inventory of supplies equipment and tools necessary for repairs cleaning and maintenance.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Lead mentor and develop custodial and maintenance personnel to foster a culture of excellence continuous improvement and teamwork.
- Coordinate with the school leadership team to address facilitiesrelated concerns promptly.
- Communicate effectively with administrators staff and vendors to coordinate work and prioritize tasks.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; postsecondary education in facility management construction management or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of facilities management experience ideally in a school or similar environment.
- Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC plumbing electrical) and custodial best practices.
- Familiarity with local state and federal safety regulations and building codes.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects timelines and budgets effectively.
- Excellent communication leadership and problemsolving skills.
- Proficient in technology tools such as email calendars and basic office applications.
