What you will do
Youwill create operating instructions howto manuals assembly instructions and frequently asked questions pages to help technical support staff consumers and other users within the Enphase ecosystem. After a product is released you will work with product quality specialists and customer service managers to improve the enduser experience through documentation and/or product design changes.You will work with the product management engineering marketingtrainingand program management teams to ensure the flow of information among project workgroups during development and testing.
- Determine the needs of end users of technical documentation. End users will include certification agencies PV system designers EPC firms PV system installers test engineers auditors customer support agents field applications engineersand system owners.
- Study product samples and talk with product designers and developers to create quick install guides and any required operation and installation manuals.
- Provide feedback on products to make them easier to use and thus requiring need fewer instructions.
- Organize and write supporting documents for products.
- Release documents to the Enphase Document Management System (EDMS) to be included in product packaging at manufacture.
- Develop and use photographs drawings diagrams animation and charts that increase users understanding.
- Select appropriate medium for message or audience such as manuals or online support articles or FAQs.
- Standardize content across platforms and media.
- Gather usability feedback from customers designers and manufacturers.
- Revise documents as new issues arise.
- Follow Enphase brand and style guidelines for consistent predictable content creation.
Who you are and what you bring
- Bachelors degree in area of specialty or at least5years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- French language proficiency is mandatory to create edit and review technical documents and knowledge base articles.
- Strong preference for candidates with an understanding of electrical basics and solar industry experience.
- Experience as a technicalpublicationswriter/content developer.
- Expert with MSOffice (Word Excel PowerPoint)Adobe InDesign& Illustrator Oxygen XML.
- SharePoint development and usage skills.
- Edit the documents with proper grammar check spell check and follow the editorial standards.
- Strong writing editing and proofreading skills.
- Experience publishing to multiple platforms including print and web.
- Project management skills tool familiarity and extensive software skills are required.
- Ability to work with outside of vendors/contractors to bring projects to fruition.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to understand and communicate concepts quickly and accurately.
- Accomplished presentation skills.
- Desire to continuously learn new features of development tools and software.
- High attention to detail.
