Job Description
A leading engineering business in Derbyshire is seeking a Senior Project Manager to take the lead on highvalue capital projects involving largescale industrial automation systems and bespoke process plant equipment.
This is a pivotal role for an experienced project professional who can manage complex multidisciplinary projects from concept through to commissioning. You ll oversee the full lifecycle of machinery and process plant installations for clients across a range of industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the delivery of turnkey projects involving industrial automation machinery and process plant equipment

Manage all phases of the project planning budgeting engineering coordination risk control installation and final handover

Work closely with clients engineering teams and suppliers to ensure technical and commercial alignment

Oversee site activity planning including subcontractor management safety protocols and commissioning schedules

Deliver projects on time and within budget while maintaining exceptional quality and client satisfaction

Travel to customer sites (UK and occasionally international) for project reviews site surveys and progress meetings
Ideal Candidate Profile:

Extensive experience managing complex capital projects in industrial automation or process plant environments

Confident handling large machinery/system builds ideally with mechanical electrical and controls integration

Strong understanding of engineering drawings technical specifications and process flow

Demonstrated success delivering CAPEX projects in sectors such as manufacturing energy chemicals or similar

Effective communicator and problem solver able to lead multidisciplinary teams and build client trust

Engineering qualification (HND/Degree or equivalent experience) in mechanical electrical or process engineering
