Our supportive and progressive school in Hackney is looking for a motivated English Teacher who is keen to develop their leadership skills. This role offers the exciting prospect of a TLR for the right candidate allowing you to contribute to the strategic direction of the English department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons across Key Stages 34 (and potentially KS5.
- Encourage students to become confident and articulate communicators.
- Work effectively as part of a team to achieve departmental goals.
- Contribute to the planning and assessment of the English curriculum.
- TLR opportunities are available for candidates with the skills and ambition to lead in areas such as curriculum innovation or assessment.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in English Language Literature or a related field.
- Experience teaching English at secondary level (ECTs encouraged to apply).
- A strong commitment to raising standards in English.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Demonstrated interest and potential in taking on leadership responsibilities (for TLR consideration).
