Your Role
As an Art Teacher at our grammar school you will:
Teach engaging and challenging Art lessons across Key Stages 3 4 and 5 with a focus on A Level Art and Design
Develop students creative abilities and technical skills preparing them for further education and careers in the arts
Inspire students to think critically experiment with different media and express their ideas through art
Collaborate with a dedicated and experienced department to plan and deliver a dynamic and academically rigorous curriculum
Provide clear assessment and feedback supporting students in their progress towards achieving their potential at A Level
Encourage student participation in extracurricular activities such as art clubs exhibitions and other creative school events
Cultivate a stimulating and supportive classroom environment where students feel challenged and inspired
What Were Looking For
We are looking for an experienced Art Teacher who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has proven experience teaching Art at secondary level including A Level
Has a degree in Art Fine Art or Art & Design with a strong portfolio and a thorough understanding of advanced visual arts practice
Is passionate about teaching the arts at a high academic level and able to engage students in deep meaningful learning
Demonstrates excellent communication organisational and classroom management skills
Has a strong understanding of the A Level Art curriculum and is experienced in preparing students for university and creative careers
Is eager to contribute to a thriving school community and collaborate with colleagues to ensure student success
