Your Role
As an Early Career Design and Technology (Textiles) Teacher you will:
Teach dynamic and engaging Design and Technology (Textiles) lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4 helping them develop technical skills and creative confidence
Introduce students to a wide range of textiles techniques including sewing pattern making fabric manipulation and design processes
Support students in developing their ideas from concept to finished product fostering both creativity and problemsolving abilities
Work collaboratively with other members of the Design and Technology team to plan and deliver a rich exciting curriculum
Provide regular feedback and assessments helping students track their progress and achieve their potential
Encourage students to engage in extracurricular activities such as design exhibitions fashion shows and other creative school events
Create a supportive stimulating classroom environment that inspires creativity and independent thinking
What Were Looking For
We are looking for an enthusiastic Early Career Design and Technology (Textiles) Teacher who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or will have QTS by September 2025
Has a degree in Design and Technology Fashion/Textiles or a related field with a strong understanding of textiles techniques and design
Is passionate about teaching Design and Technology (Textiles) and eager to inspire students of all abilities to explore their creativity
Demonstrates strong communication organisational and classroom management skills
Is motivated to develop professionally with a commitment to ongoing learning and growth as an ECT
