Your Role
As an Early Career Design and Technology (Textiles) Teacher you will:

• Teach engaging and innovative Design and Technology (Textiles) lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4 helping them develop essential technical skills and creative confidence

• Guide students through a variety of textiles techniques including pattern making fabric manipulation design processes and sewing

• Encourage students to explore their creative ideas and develop them from concept to finished product while focusing on critical thinking and problemsolving skills

• Work closely with an experienced department team to plan and deliver a stimulating wellrounded curriculum

• Provide constructive feedback and assessments to support students progress and celebrate their achievements

• Contribute to extracurricular activities such as fashion shows design exhibitions and other creative school events

• Create a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment that encourages experimentation creativity and independent thinking

What Were Looking For
We are looking for an enthusiastic Early Career Design and Technology (Textiles) Teacher who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or will have QTS by September 2025

• Has a degree in Design and Technology Fashion/Textiles or a related field with a strong understanding of textiles techniques and design

• Is passionate about teaching Design and Technology (Textiles) and inspiring students to think creatively and technically

• Demonstrates strong communication organisational and classroom management skills

• Is motivated to develop professionally with a commitment to continuous learning and growth as an ECT

• Shares our commitment to excellence creativity and providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment
