Your Role
As a Design and Technology (Textiles) Teacher you will:

• Deliver inspiring Design and Technology (Textiles) lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4 helping them develop both technical skills and creative confidence

• Teach a range of textiles techniques including pattern making fabric manipulation sewing and design processes

• Foster a classroom environment that encourages students to think creatively work independently and collaborate with others

• Plan and deliver a rich engaging curriculum in collaboration with a talented department team

• Provide effective feedback and assessments that help students track their progress and reach their full potential

• Contribute to extracurricular activities such as design exhibitions fashion shows and creative school events

• Encourage students to apply their creativity and critical thinking in practical projects

What Were Looking For
We are looking for a motivated Design and Technology (Textiles) Teacher who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is eligible to obtain QTS by September 2025

• Has a degree in Design and Technology Fashion/Textiles or a related field

• Has a passion for teaching Design and Technology (Textiles) and is committed to inspiring students

• Demonstrates excellent communication organisational and classroom management skills

• Is either an ECT looking for a structured induction programme or an experienced teacher with a proven track record of success in the classroom

• Is eager to contribute to a positive school culture and work collaboratively with colleagues
