Job Description
An inspiring and dedicated English Teacher is required to join an Outstanding Mixed school in Barnet. The successful candidate will cultivate a love for literature and language in students across Key Stages 3 and 4 fostering their analytical and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Plan prepare and deliver engaging English Teacher lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4 covering a range of texts and language skills.
- Prepare students effectively for GCSE English Language and Literature examinations developing their critical understanding.
- Cultivate a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages thoughtful discussion and articulate expression.
- Assess and monitor student progress in English providing insightful feedback to support their literary journey.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in English Language and Literature.
- Demonstrated experience teaching English at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4.
- A strong and comprehensive knowledge of English literature language and effective teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills capable of inspiring a passion for reading and writing in students.
