Job Description
This is a remote position.
We are seeking a Senior Backend Python Engineer to join our team selfdriven Backend Python Engineer for our AWS Python microservices backend. In this role you will strategize and build architecture ranging from job queues for computeintense tasks custom LLM model hosting REST APIs PostgreSQL databases and migrations thirdparty integrations ETL pipelines and more.
Responsibilites:
- Write Python Lambda microservices.
- Perform database migrations using Alembic.
- Strategize the creation maintenance and scaling of our REST API.
- Build novel features that affect $100m in managed customer assets.
- Work with a small talented senior team of developers.
- Build software you re proud of.
- Begin by standing up comprehensive QA systems and processes.
Requirements
- 5 years of backend engineering experience.
- 3 years of recent Python experience.
The desire to passionately own the systems you re responsible for. - Work independently and creatively to drive our business forward.
- Experience testing REST APIs and microservice architectures.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation in cloud environments.
- Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Strong communication abilities and experience working in remote teams.
- Experience integrating AI/ML systems is a plus.
- Prior experience working with ecommerce or financial systems is a plus.

- Database: PostgreSQL Alembic.
- Infrastructure Paradigm: Microservices.
- AI: Sophisticated inhouse machine learning systems selfhosted LLMs.
