Certification & Authorization (V&A) Engineer for ETCS (European Train Control System)
Description:
- Support of the C&A manager in the certification/authorization process
- of dedicated activities within the C&A processes in accordance with the project C&A management plan in all project phases
- Assisting the C&A manager in identifying and preparing certification and/or approval requirements
- Support of the C&A manager in the preparation of evidence documents plans (e.g. for TSIs or national regulations)
- Compilation of C&A verification documents to be submitted to the independent assessors and/or the approval bodies
- Organization of periodic reviews of evidence documentation and evaluation reports
- Maintenance of certificationrelevant data in the requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS/Excel)
- Preparation of C&Arelevant reports (e.g. KPIs cost overview) and main contact person for questions
- You will be an important partner of the project team for: Engineering RAMS Quality Planning Validation Maintenance Procurement
- Preparation of the selection material and cooperation with the independent reviewers (e.g. NoBo DeBo AsBo) and approval bodies (e.g. ERA or NSA)
- Compilation of application file(s) for certification and approval
- Support in tracking changes and the certified/authorized vehicle configuration(s)
Educational Requirements
Mandatory:
- Bachelor/Masters Degree (Engineering Physical Sciences others
- Technician/Certified Engineer 5 years’ experience in Railways)
Desirable:
- Railway engineering
- Systems engineering (Electrical Mechanical)
- Industrial engineering
Experience
Mandatory:
- Experience in engineering projects
- High degree of accuracy clear communication style
- Good experience with MS Office Analysis/KPI preparation
Desirable:
- Certification processes (railways automotive aerospace)
- Project or Quality management
Competencies & Skills
- General knowledge of rail vehicles
- General knowledge of functional safety and validation
- General knowledge of standards and regulations
- Ability to foster communications between multiple stakeholders
- Ability for getting into new topics for analysis synthesis and for problemsolving in technical environment
- German B2 & English mandatory
