Job Description
This is a remote position.
We are looking for a SR Fullstack Engineer for a fastgrowing enterprise hospitality technology company that provides hotels with innovative solutions to drive efficiency and enhance the guest experience. With backing from some of the top investors in Silicon Valley including Y Combinator the company is trusted by thousands worldwide and serves some of the world s largest and most iconic hotel brands.
The fully remote team is growing and we re hiring multiple Senior Full Stack Engineers to enable the next phase of growth.
You should be a strong IC that can deal with ambiguity and understand what it takes to build quality maintainable fullstack applications. You should also care deeply about the customer experience and work closely with Product Managers to inform product decision making. The services built and owned by your team will have to operate at large scale and hence passion and discipline around operational excellence is essential.
What Youll Do
- Collaborate with a team of engineers and managers to create applications used by hotel customers around the world
- Write clean selfdocumenting code that follows best practices and design patterns
- Provide creative ideas to improve the product and technology
- Think beyond the specifics of a ticket in order to delight customers or grow the business
- Effective in 1:1 mentoring and active in code reviews. Advises tech lead on technical decisions
- Be a selfstarter that can deal with ambiguity take initiative and execute on projects with little direction
Requirements
- 10 years of experience as a Software Engineer
- Advanced English
- Solid knowledge of developing backend applications
- Experience with Javascript and common frontend frameworks such as ReactJS or VueJS
- Have a strong demonstrated ability to ship highquality products
- Selfmotivated collaborative and diligent work ethic
- Expert in Python with knowledge on at least one industry standard framework like Django Flask etc.
- Experience using Docker and cloud technologies such as AWS
- Experience with SQL databases and database design skills
