Job Description
This is a remote position.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and interpret project specifications drawings and plans to define the scope of work
Prepare detailed cost estimates considering material takeoffs labour equipment costs project duration overheads and profit margins
Use GroundPlan and simPRO to estimate schedule and generate professional quotes
Ensure all estimates and practices comply with Victorian and Australian electrical legislation and safety standards
Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing and availability
Prepare competitive and compliant bids for tender submissions
Identify and assess potential risks integrating contingency plans into estimates
Present cost summaries and requirements clearly to management and other departments
Stay current with industry best practices technologies and regulation changes
Requirements
Relevant electrical trade qualifications
Experience in electrical estimating ideally within commercial and industrial construction
Strong knowledge of electrical systems materials and installation procedures
Proficiency in GroundPlan and simPRO
Excellent analytical numerical and problemsolving skills
Strong commercial awareness and budgeting experience
Ability to read and interpret complex plans and schematics
High attention to detail and strong communication skills
Able to work independently and within a team
